Our study is located in South Eastern Colorado, which offers a wide variety of birds, year round. Eastern Colorado sits in the migration route of the Central Fly zone. This covers the Great Plains States from the Eastern Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi Valley and from Northern Canada south into Mexico.
Each year, the species of birds change between Spring and Fall. Our resident birds are House Finches, Sparrows, Robins, Doves etc. Ocassionaly, we have Hummingbirds to Vultures and comical Fox squirrels are always quick to the feeders.
At my feeding stations I use a variety of food for the birds. I include grains such as wheat, corn, maze, milo, sunflower, thistle etc. I also put out chopped nuts, berries, apple, oranges, pine nuts, peanut butter and varieties of suet blocks.
You will be able to view live stream on USTREAM.COM and videos on YOUTUBE. I also have included still photography, a slide show, and recorded videos.
The best times to view our activity is mornings and evenings, mountain time.
